Our goal is to provide career, curriculum and benefit advice to those veterans seeking skill certification, associate- or bachelor-level degrees either prior to starting full-time work, or as part of continuing their professional development in conjunction with work.
The Tristate has many different educational institutions and community-based organizations that can help veterans and their families fulfill their educational and vocational training needs. Finding the best fit for an individual veteran or family member requires helping them -
- understand their career options and establish clear goals,
- determine which program, organization or institution can best help them achieve those goals, and
- make the best use of their government benefits accrued during military service.
The TVCA community partners involved in the education workgroup are committed to finding the best path for the individual veteran or family member. We work collaboratively to share best practices, establish and encourage adoption of certain standards proven to help veterans get the most of their training experience, and connect graduates with organizations or employers that can put those skills to use in a paying job.
If you want to help veterans find a career path and get the training and certifications needed to progress, join us today or provide your contact information so we can quickly respond to your questions.
